We are having such fun on Saturdays at the new Calgary West Country Market (at the Wild Wild West Rodeo Grounds off Highway 1). I highly recommend it for a Saturday morning outing. The vendors are all so happy and friendly and there is some stunning stuff on show! As the summer hits us and the fresh Veggies and Fruits start coming in from the Colonies around Calgary ….this market is going to be THE BOMB!!!!
Just think …you can take the kids to Calaway Park on a Saturday after visiting the market to purchase your farm fresh produce, have a really positive shopping experience with all the family, get the kids faces painted so that they look Absolutely Fabulous as they enter the park! – Bring coolers to keep your purchases fresh while you enjoy the afternoon of fun with the kids at the theme park!
I have met some truly delightful kids and parents. Last weekend I sampled the Butter Chicken from Russell Donald Curry (www.maddogsexpeditions.com) which is highly recommended! Bought some sensational bread from the Blackforest Bakery and now I just want to invest in some of the gorgeous clothes being sold at the Garment District. Check out the stunning photography by Ned at http://www.brilliantlandscapes.com. I was tempted to purchase my own Mother’s Day gift there. I haven’t had the chance to visit all the vendors yet, but I will – and I’ll happily share my experiences with everyone as I work my way through the market.
I keep forgetting to take my camera with me to photograph the happy faces and the vendors….but I’ll do that too over the coming weeks. Come visit us!! Saturday mornings from 8.30 – 1.o00pm and check out the website: http://www.calgarywestcountrymarket.com
